Haifa Fahoum Al Kaylani, Founder & Chairman of the Arab International Women’s Forum, is well known in international government, business and non-governmental organisation circles as a high-impact change agent focusing on women’s leadership, youth empowerment and working for progress, inclusion, peace and security in the Arab region within a global context. Mrs Al Kaylani is a development economist, a Fellow of the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative 2017, and a Commissioner of the ILO Global Commission on the Future of Work. Haifa Al Kaylani brings a wide range of skills and experience to her personal mission of encouraging greater cultural understanding and sustainable economic growth and reform, supporting a strong role for women and young leaders at the heart of that process.
In 2019, Haifa Al Kaylani celebrates 35 years of voluntary and public service as a champion for women as change makers and building bridges between the Arab world and the international community. She has successfully led numerous initiatives and having been involved in a wide variety of charities, cultural institutions, NGOs and the private sector in the UK, the US, and the Arab world. She commands wide international exposure in government and business circles, including high level contacts in the United Kingdom, Middle East, Europe, India and North & South America.
Haifa Al Kaylani has chaired and addressed major conferences on development, diversity, leadership and cross-cultural dialogue in over 40 countries, as a convener of global leaders in all sectors to work together for the common good. She founded AIWF in London in 2001 as a development organisation committed to supporting women’s leadership in social and economic growth in the MENA region and internationally and to create equality of opportunity for all.
